KnowHow@ÖV

In 2019, it was estimated that 40% of employees in public transport organizations would retire by 2027, with the risk of losing valuable specialist knowledge and experience. As in many other industries, there is also a high demand for skilled professionals that cannot be fully met due to demographic change.

The KnowHow@ÖV platform was designed to collect and document industry-specific knowledge and to make it easier to share this knowledge with new employees and professionals entering the sector from other fields. A working group from the Media Production department at TU Ilmenau developed an innovative educational concept tailored to the individual needs and backgrounds of instructors and learners.

Based on this concept, we developed the visual design of the user interface. The main focus was on creating a clean, minimalist interface that allows the learning content to take center stage, both visually and conceptually.
