Exterior & Interior Design for Vehicles, Aircraft and Vessels.
Mobility is an essential part of everyday life, and new technologies continue to change the way people move and travel. Transportation design turns these developments into new mobility concepts and vehicles that combine technology, safety, aerodynamics and ergonomics with a distinctive design.
From motorcycles and cars to boats and aircraft, we develop concepts for both exterior and interior design.
TECHNOLOGY, REQUIREMENTS, AERODYNAMICS AND ERGONOMICS
From the initial idea through to implementation, we support the design process in several steps:
Analysis of ergonomics, economic viability, and functionality
Development of form concepts and definition of distinctive freeform surfaces
Precise surface modeling to refine proportions and details
Creation of high-quality 3D data as a basis for further development
Physical model making and digital modeling to evaluate form and functionality
Rapid prototyping for fast, visual development cycles
Product development support through to implementation.
PROCESS — MODELING, FREEFORM SURFACES AND 3D DATA CREATION
We work on design projects both as part of the overall development of vehicles and aircraft and as focused individual projects. Since completely new developments are relatively rare due to the high investment and risks involved, much of our work focuses on the further development of existing products, for example, interiors, cockpits, or individual functional and design components.
The boundaries between our design disciplines are fluid. Here, we also apply our UI/UX expertise, for example, in analog and digital displays and head-up displays, as well as our product design capabilities in areas such as surface modeling, prototyping, and implementation support.
