Robot-assisted surgery is an evolution of minimally invasive surgery. The Thuringia-based company avateramedical GmbH developed an innovative robotic surgery system that sets new standards, for example, through the use of hygienic single-use instruments. Our role included both product and interface design, taking into account the high standards required for medical devices throughout the design and implementation process. Particular attention was given to ergonomics, safe operation, and manufacturing requirements. We supported the entire design process, from concept development and design to the creation of CAD data for the housing components and preparation of the final data for manufacturing.
